Berlin in spring, art on paper – and me right in the middle of it. I am very pleased to be participating in paper positions berlin again this year. From April 30 to May 3, 2026, I will be presenting my work in the former departure hall of Tempelhof Airport – a place that carries history itself and thus provides a wonderful setting for art that questions meaning.

Booth 50, Galerie Martin Mertens, paper positions berlin 2026
On display are my Wimmelbilder and overpaintings – works that emerge from the chaos of everyday digital life and seek their own order within it. New to the collection: collages that I have worked on intensively over the past few months. For me, they represent a consistent further development: layers, fractures, overlays – the image as a mirror of our fragmented perception.

Herzlichen Dank, acrylic/pigment ink on paper (paper bag), 43cm × 26cm, 2026
I am also presenting the project “Surreal Visions” – a sketchbook with 50 finely detailed drawings created in 2025, which served as the basis for an edition of the same name.

You can find me at the Galerie Martin Mertens booth. I will be on-site for the entire duration of the fair and look forward to personal conversations – about the works, about ideas, and about what is currently occupying us all.
Come by. I look forward to seeing you.
