“With the finest of strokes, Peer Kriesel draws entire universes of grimaces, mythical creatures and figures on a wide variety of papers and contemporary documents that have lost their original meaning. Chaos reigns in his overpaintings – but it is always reorganized by lines and geometric shapes. Immerse yourself in these surreal and fabulous worlds on haptic found objects made of paper, which are becoming increasingly rare in our digital society in an age of smartphones, QR codes and WhatsApp messages.” So says the program booklet.
